(Healthy Living) Getting Started

We are inundated on a daily basis with green campaigns, organic options, vaccine articles (anti and pro), health alternatives, natural remedies, and new studies on how x-ingredient (that is in 50 commonly used products in our homes) is linked to this endless list of different complications, diseases, and side effects. Now don’t get me wrong. I believe in, and am even passionate, about making many of these changes in the lifestyle of my family. However, if you decide that you want to start making some of these changes in your life, it is so easy to get overwhelmed. There is always going to be more that you can change. Don’t lose sight of the fact that the purpose of making these changes is to enhance your life, not to bog it down. Give yourself (and your budget!) some breathing room.

Strive to make one change per month. Pick one thing that is important to you. Research it, experiment with  it, learn about it. Then when you do make that change, it is intentional, non-emotional, educated, and affordable. The tortoise wins the race every time.  And he even gets to enjoy the journey.
