February 6 – Samuel had been saving his money for a particular Play-doh toy he had seen at Target. For whatever reason, I had remembered the price to be $10, but we found out once we got there that it was $15. Scott and I offered to pay the difference but Samuel insisted upon finding something that cost $10 (which is how much money he had). After much deliberating, he chose a toy dart gun (our first toy of that kind). He was SO proud to be able to hand the cashier his money. On our way out to the car, he said, “Look! I have my own bag, and my own receipt, and my own toy that I bought with my own money!”
